Ms. Erin`s math class by: Ben

In math, our class has been learning about circles.  We have been using Pi (3.14) to find circumference. For example, say the radius was 4. Multiply 4 by itself. You would get 16. Then, multiply 16 times 3.14. Your circumference would be 50.24. Pi= r x r x 3.14.  We are also learning about the different parts of a circle. The radius is half the distance across a circle.  The diameter is a line that goes all the way across the circle, through the middle. Chords are line segments that connect 2 points on a circle, not going through the middle.  A central angle is 2 radii that meet to form a vertex at the center point. I am really enjoying learning about Pi, because it is fun and relatively easy to multiply with.
